Toyota set to unveil the GR HV Sportscar at Toyota Motor Show

Toyota will unveil a range of new concept cars at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017 later this year, including the new GR HV Sports Concept.

The car has been inspired from the TS050 Hybrid racing car from Toyota Gazoo, which races in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Standard operation of the car will be done with the auto transmission but by just flipping a switch, motorists can lock it into manual mode and control the gears using a traditional H-shape gearstick.

Toyota will be equipping the GR HV concept with LED headlamps, aluminium wheels and a rear diffuser. There is a targa top on offer as well. The concept is done in a dark matt black.

The flip-switch on the gear knob looks like the ejector seat button on the Aston Martin DB5 Sean Connery operated on Goldfinger.

It is also powered by THS-R (Toyota Hybrid System-Racing) that is infused with hybrid technology refined by the TS050 Hybrid.
