Skoda Kodiaq SUV Will Hit the Indian Market on October

Skoda is all set to launch the Kodiaq SUV on October 4 in India. The new Skoda Kodiaq SUV will be offered in both 5 and 7-seating configuration. The car will pounce against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. It is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB architecture that also underpins the Volkswagen Tiguan.

The Kodiaq is Skoda’s first 7-seater SUV in India and with it, the company takes on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and even the Volkswagen Tiguan (though it is a 5-seater). Internationally, the Skoda Kodiaq SUV was first unveiled last year in September in Berlin and production of the SUV began a month later in October 2016. We have already driven global-spec Skoda Kodiaq and were truly impressed by its build quality, features and performance which is why we expected most of them to come to India.

The SUV will get a host of comfort and convenience features that will include dual-zone automatic climate control, engine start/stop button electric tailgate and cruise control, electrically adjustable driver seat, six airbags, ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution). For the infotainment we can expect come with Skoda Connect touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with satellite navigation.

Under the hood, the new Skoda Kodiaq will come with a mix of both petrol and diesel engines.
