N. Prasanth removed as Kozhikode Collector

Kozhikode Collector N. Prasanth, who had been involved in a tiff with Senior Congress leader M.K Raghavan, MP, over MPLAD fund in the recent past, has been removed from the post.

A decision to this effect was taken during a Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.

Kerala Tourism Director U.V Jose has been appointed as new Kozhikode Collector.

Prasanth had tendered an apology to Raghavan, representing Kozhikode in the Lok Sabha, at the behest of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in the wake of a stand off between them over disbursal of Members of Parliament’s Local Area Fund.
