This monthly tariff plan, which will also include 300 MB of data, is expected to be launched on January 1, 2017 readying BSNL to compete with Reliance Jio, reported ‘The Economic Times’.

However, BSNL is the only telecom after Jio to offer the unlimited voice calling in a low-priced tariff plan.
BSNL is also working on infrastructure to accommodate more voice traffic and make use of its fibre-based broadband that has a network of 7-lakh route kilometres of fibre.
